Christian Internet Moms is proud to announce its Grand Opening Gala. The "Rags to Rubies Virtual Ball" will be held on:

May 6, 2005
10 AM until 10 PM -- All Times Eastern

Christian Internet Moms is a faith based website, but co-founders Renee Twaddle and Michelle Bailey would like to emphasize that this event is open to everyone. Christian Internet Moms like Children's Cottage was designed to be a safe haven. This ball is intended to be a celebration of the inner beauty in all of us. This will be a day to focus on freedom from the everyday as we step into a virtual ballroom to celebrate this important milestone.

Guests will be invited to choose from virtual ball gowns from the virtual closet of the Internet. A website filled with fashion
choices will be created for guests to choose their wardrobe.

Planned events, at present, include the end of the evening crowning of a lucky mom turned Princess. The crowned "Ruby Princess" will walk away with the grand prize. Net Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Calgary Children’s Cottage Society. You can read all about the Children's Cottage Society here:

CIMoms Radio Debut

As we've been growing by leaps & bounds, we've also been branching out in features as we prepare to hit the internet "wide open" to reach the biggest audience we possibly can.

We've teamed up with a fellow CIMoms member...Kimberly Henrie, to bring you the best in Christian broadcasting straight from our website! We'll post an announcement to the group to let you know when a new broadcast has been added, so keep your ear to the ground.

New Group for Advertising

Many of you have expressed an interest in being able to send advertisements to the list in the past, and we've heard you.

While we stick to our guns on the No-Advertising policy of the main list, we've decided to compromise and create an addition that will be of benefit to all who are interested in sending and receiving advertisements from other members. There will still be rules, and it will not be an advertising free-for-all. There would be entirely too many emails generated if we didn't put rules into place beforehand.

The way this advertising list will work is, the advertisements will only be allowed on Mondays and Fridays. All posts to this group will be sent out in digest form and only on those days. This way, you won't be bombarded with emails. Anyone interested must email Renee because we allow membership by invitation only. Everyone should consider signing up! It's a great way to find good deals while helping to support our fellow members.

With the surge of growth our discussion group has been experiencing, we're now at 78 members strong, praise the Lord!  

We were finally able to launch our much anticipated website on Easter Sunday just a few weeks ago! To compliment our email-based discussion group and website, we've also got an Auction area, Online prayer request form, and Book discussion forum for those of you interested in participating. Areas under development are: Clothing swaps, More member goodies, and a Book exchange, to name a few.

Our mission is to provide support, inspiration, and fellowship for each Christian member and visitor while assisting her in personal discovery and utilization of her God-given gifts to glorify the Lord, while also blessing her family through the fulfillment of her distinctive purpose as exhibited by the Proverbs 31 woman.
